常常看到在英文的新聞裡面看到 few, little, a few, a little 這幾個英文字，但是您知道到底哪一個比較少嗎??

1) 簡單來說, few/ a few 後面加上可數名詞(Countable Noun)， little/ a little 後面加的是"不可數名詞"(Uncountable Noun)

2) a few / a little 為肯定含義，還有一點
   few / little　為否定含義，沒有多少了。

3) a little = some but not much
   little = nearly no ... or nearly nothing

   a few  = some but not many
   few = nearly no ...

例句:
<few/ a few>
Henry has got a few friends, so he is not lonely. 亨利有一些朋友所以他不寂寞
(He has a few friends.　他有一些朋友。)

Jimmy's sad and he's lonely.  Jimmy has got few friends. 吉米悲傷而且寂寞。吉米幾乎沒有什麼朋友
(He has few friends. 他幾乎沒有什麼朋友)

Those few girls will live in this room together. 那少數幾個女孩會一起住在這個房間裡

Let's eat up the few oranges that left. 讓我們吃掉剩下來的幾個橘子吧

My few books about fincnce were borrowed by him. 我的少數幾本關於財經的書都被他借走了

<little/ a little>
We still have a little time. 我們還有一點時間

Mary has a little money, so she is not poor. 瑪莉有一點錢，所以她並不窮困

There is little time left.  幾乎沒剩下多少時間了

Steve has little money.   Steve is very poor. 史提夫幾乎沒有什麼錢。史提夫非常窮困

The little water is not enough for these plants. 這一點水對這些植物來說是不夠的

The food is too much for her little appetite. 這食物對她的小胃口來說太多了
